FRIZONIA obtiene el contrato para el diseño y suministro de equipos HVAC para el primer Buque Hospital Costero Fluvial de Colombia
FRIZONIA has been awarded the contract for the design and supply of the HVAC equipment for the first river hospital ship on the coast of Colombia.

FRIZONIA will carry out the engineering, manufacture of the HVAC equipment and commissioning of the future Coastal River Hospital Ship to be built by COTECMAR for the Ministry of Health. The contract was signed in Cartagena de Indias in April 2024.

The goal of the hospital ship is to provide medical care to approximately 150,000 people living in remote areas of the country’s Pacific coast. This coastal riverine hospital ship will be equipped to provide a range of medium complexity medical services, covering vital areas such as obstetrics, paediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, telemedicine and clinical laboratory, among others. This infrastructure will provide a versatile and vital health centre for remote, rural and hard-to-reach communities.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, when this innovative vessel will enter service. Two more hospital ships will then be built to serve different areas of the country.

FRIZONIA is adding another project to the long list of collaborations with COTECMAR and the Colombian government. An example of this is the PAF-L vessel or Colombian Ocean Patrol Vessel, which is still in the construction phase.
